Maintenance instructions
By following our maintenance instructions, your cutlery will remain beautiful for a long time. This way, you can enjoy your Amefa cutlery to the fullest. Please note: specific maintenance instructions apply to coloured cutlery (gold, champagne, copper or black) and steak knives. It is important that you wash your cutlery thoroughly before using it for the first time.
Maintenance instructions cutlery (not coloured)
Our products are made of the best quality stainless steel and are therefore dishwasher safe. However, we recommend rinsing the cutlery before placing it in the dishwasher, so that food residues, salt and acids do not affect the cutlery. Knives are best placed separately from forks and spoons to prevent contact corrosion. We recommend drying the cutlery immediately with a soft cloth after the program has ended. To keep cutlery beautiful for as long as possible, washing by hand is always the best choice.
Maintenance instructions for coloured cutlery (PVD)
Colored cutlery, or PVD cutlery, is made from the highest quality stainless steel and is finished with a thin, food-safe titanium coating that provides a vibrant color. To keep colored cutlery looking beautiful for as long as possible, hand washing is always the best choice. The cutlery can also be cleaned in the dishwasher, provided you select a wash program with a temperature of 40 or lower and use a detergent with a phosphate content of 3% or lower. We also recommend rinsing the cutlery before placing it in the dishwasher, so that food residues, salt and acids do not corrode the cutlery. Knives are best placed separately from forks and spoons to prevent contact corrosion. We recommend that you dry the cutlery immediately with a soft cloth after the program has ended.
Steak knife maintenance instructions
Our products are made of the best quality stainless steel. Because most steak knives also contain wood, they are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher and we advise washing them by hand.
