I am missing parts/the product is damaged. What now?
You are happy with your new cutlery set, but you are missing a spoon or find damage. We find that very annoying! We would like to solve it for you as soon as possible. You can reach us by e-mail customerservice@amefa.nl or by phone at 055 368 1298 (local rate), on weekdays from 08:00-17:00. This way you can keep the new set and we will replenish where necessary.
I am unhappy about a product/I have a complaint. What now?
If you are dissatisfied with a product, we will try to help you as best we can. Feel free to contact us! You can reach us by e-mail customerservice@amefa.nl or by phone at 055 368 1298 (local rate), on weekdays from 8am to 5pm.
If you have a complaint about our products or our service, you can contact us by calling or emailing our customer service. You will receive a substantive response from us within 14 days of receipt of the complaint. Do you disagree with the solution or can we not reach an agreement? Then you can submit it to the Disputes Committee Thuiswinkel , Postbus 90600, 2509 LP in The Hague. You can also submit your complaint to the Disputes Committee via the European ODR Platform .
How do I return a product/order?
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us that you wish to cancel the purchase (and therefore the agreement). You can do this, for example, by post or by email, by means of an unambiguous statement - as it is called. You can use the model withdrawal form , but you are not obliged to do so. According to the law, it is also sufficient to send your communication within the period of 30 days after you have physically received the goods. You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the day on which you have decided to withdraw from this contract and have informed us of this. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
In order to process a product or order quickly, it is advisable to add the following to the return package;
1. The order number - in order to link the return to you, it is useful if the order number is added in the package.
2. Reason for return - in order to improve our products and map customer experiences, we appreciate an explanation, you are not obliged to do so.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. If you revoke this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of any additional costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to revoke this contract. If you only return part of your order, the costs of delivery will not be reimbursed. We will reimburse you using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

How do I package my return shipment?
Pack your return shipment well, preferably in the original box. Use strong tape to close the box properly. Put the order confirmation or packing slip in the box so that we can easily recognize the shipment.
What is the latest return period?
The final return period is the last date on which you can return the product to Amefa. This is 30 days after the date of receipt. Your return shipment must be sent back or handed over to us no later than 14 days after the day on which you indicated that you wish to return the products. You are on time if you return the products before the period of 14 days has expired.
What is the right of withdrawal?
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. To exercise the right of cancellation, you must inform us of your decision to cancel this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You can use the model withdrawal form , but you are not obliged to do so. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Do I have to pay for a return shipping?
Yes, the return shipping costs are at your own expense and risk. You can return the product in the original packaging and the box in which the product was packed.
Am I entitled to a warranty?
We believe it is important that you are satisfied with your Amefa product. That is why our products are made of high-quality materials that last a long time. Of course, it is possible that something goes wrong sometimes. The legal guarantee applies to all items that you buy from us. Legal guarantee means that a product is or must do what you can reasonably expect from it. We also provide a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee on our products. Wear and damage due to improper use or neglected maintenance are not covered by the guarantee. View our maintenance instructions .
What are the warranty conditions?
All Amefa products are developed, produced and tested to a high quality standard. Is there still something wrong with the product? And has the warranty period demonstrably not expired yet? Then we will provide the right advice, a replacement part or a replacement product. This depends entirely on the problem and the situation. In our first contact we will always try to find out the problem and the situation if this is not (completely) clear.
Can I exchange a product?
Unfortunately, exchanging is not possible. The easiest option is to return the item you do not want and order the correct item in advance.
When can I expect the refund?
Once we have received your return, we will process it as soon as possible, at the latest within 14 working days after receipt of the return package. If it is approved, you will receive an email to confirm. We will refund you using the same payment method you used for the original payment, unless you have expressly agreed to a different payment method. In any case, you will not be charged any fees for such refunds. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received your return package, or until you have demonstrated that your return is on its way to our address.
Will I get the shipping costs back?
There are two possible situations for the refund of shipping costs. This depends on whether you are making a full or partial return request.
- You return the entire order: yes, you will receive the purchase amount, including shipping costs (with the exception of additional costs because you want a different method of delivery than the standard delivery offered by us).
- You are returning part of your order: no, you will only receive the purchase amount of the returned products.
You will be responsible for the direct costs of returning the products.
